1) Parts in excess of needs –
a) ALTA repro aluminium. cylinder head; bought from Tony Betts some time back, unused – not suitable for my car, offers around £250 but would haggle
b) Front axle beam, Girling type stub axles without back plates, king pin bushes renewed & reamed by Ian Dunford many years ago but never used since; pair radius arms, (top spur removed), spring and spring shackles and bushes seem O.K., track rod ends with new pins and bushes, new radius arm ball coupling kit, again around £150
c) Front shock absorber assembly new friction discs, new link bushes and front s/a bracket ..£40 +/-
d) re-worked prop-shaft for SWB 1930 b/tail, used many years w/o
fault, treated myself to a professional, double ended Hardy- Spicer type. Was a std. July ‘33/July ’34 High Chassis only, cut down to
size and balanced. £25 +/-
2) Percie, the Boat tail 2-seater tourer, made end of 1930 but first
registered Mar. ’35. Family friend for a long time but has shrunk recently so that wife and I find it uncomfortable to get in and sit in for journeys. Standard body, floor pan replaced before I bought it but have had the sills renewed and strengthened 4/5 years ago. She has
had a number of mods. over the years – smaller wheels, hydraulics,
lower CW&P., prop-shaft, see before, clutch, gearbox, engine,
electrics now 12v, with alternator in C40 dynamo casing, mainly LEDs except headlight bulbs in not so std.
lamps, discreet trafficators, full weather protection, well fitted, hood
bag & tonneau which needs adjustment. It has been up for sale
recently; come back to me if at all interested (the mods. could be
removed and sold onto a special builder with a profit).

1934 Austin Seven Cambridge special for sale. One of the prettiest
Specials made for the Austin Seven. Also practical with full hood and well-fitting side screens. Lots of work done to it for my own use but unfortunately the driver needs a major overhaul and parts are no
longer available! Cambridge head, front axle and wheel spinners.
Hidden indicators. Folding windscreen. Full hood, side screens and tonneau. Rear Springs re-tempered 1 inch Su with Alan Raeburn inlet
and bunch of bananas exhaust. Re wired 12 volt system.
Andrew Bird close ratio box with remote gear change.
Oversize oil pump just fitted. Crank cleaned out.
Big ends just re- metalled.
Many photos available on request, just email me.
Great fun to own and drive as well as a good investment.
